Istanbul, Turkey

Ancient Culture in Modern Times

A city meant for walking. We spent an all too short three days in the bustling city of Istanbul, Turkey. The people were engaging and the atmosphere was intoxicating. Istanbul is truly a crossroads for all cultures and beliefs. With a sweep of your eyes you can see a mix of Americans wearing shorts to Muslim women in Burkas, and everything in between…all in perfect harmony. It’s a city meant for walking. Stroll the Spice Bazaar and Grand Bazaar, mingle with the merchants on the banks of the Bosphorus, sample the food and drink the tea. It’s all good.
